Job Description Live and teach in the Kingdom of Bhutan, a secluded and mystical country, virtually untouched by the modern world. Develop new teaching techniques, share expertise with local teachers and steep yourself in the concept and practice of Gross National Happiness, all while exploring an authentic Himalayan culture.

The Bhutan Canada Foundation works in partnership with the Ministry of Education in Bhutan to send highly qualified native-English-speaking teachers to teach in public schools across the country. BCF teachers support the further improvement of the Bhutanese education system by modelling innovative teaching techniques, providing professional development to colleagues and encouraging the development of spoken and written English.

We are now accepting applications for our year-long Teach in Bhutan Program on a rolling basis. To be considered for the 2017 school year (Jan-Dec), applications must be received by March 31, 2016.

Before completing an application to the Teach in Bhutan Program, please ensure you meet the following requirements:

Your first language is English
You have at least three years of teaching experience and you have either a) a post-secondary degree in education, or b) a post-secondary degree in the subject you seek to teach (eg., English)
